Imagine you could do one thing today that would change everything… Consistency.

What I’m about to tell you could change your life for ever!

Your work, your relationships, and your personal life. It’s not a trick and I promise you it works because I tried it for myself. The results have been outstanding.

Imagine you could do one thing today that would change everything…

consistency changes everything

One thing that would make you more confident, capable, and successful in all areas of your life…

One thing that would build trust, improve communication, and create emotional intimacy in your relationships.

One thing that would increase your productivity, bring higher profits, and create a better reputation in your work or business.

It gets better. It doesn’t matter who you are, anyone can do this one thing. It doesn’t matter how much you earn because it’s completely free. And it doesn’t matter how much you need because it’s designed to be used repeatedly.

What is this elixir? I hear you cry!

Where can you find this magic pill?

Well, if you really want to have better health, decision-making, communication, performance, and personal relationships,

The one thing you need is…. consistency.

Right now you’re probably thinking, “screw you Ned, I wanted the silver bullet and all you’ve got to offer is some consistency BS!”

But hear me out…

Tony Robbins says, "

It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It's what we do consistently."

In business - Consistency in your marketing efforts will help you build a strong brand identity and increase your reach. When you consistently deliver high-quality products or services, your customers will come to trust you and rely on your brand.

Relationships - When you consistently show up for your partner, your children or your team, communicate openly and honestly, and prioritize their needs, you build a strong foundation for a healthy and fulfilling relationship.

Personal development – Consistency is the foundation for self-improvement. When you consistently work on developing new skills, learning new things, and challenging yourself, you can become the person you were meant to be.

If you don’t believe me, ask mother nature, because consistency is massive throughout the natural world.

After winter comes spring, then summer and autumn. Consistently. Without fail.

Around the globe twice daily tides provide the ideal environment for marine life to feed and breed while on land honeybees’ daily industry, as one of the most important pollinators on the planet, are essential to plant life and the resulting production of oxygen.

Without this consistency, for even just a short period of time, it could be the end of life on this planet as we know it.

Closer to home, your circadian rhythm is the biological processes that regulates the sleep-wake cycle. Consistent sleep creates energy. Sleep disruption leads to major health problems and a reduced life span.

Holy shit batman, it’s a matter of life and death!

And yet, most of us struggle to do things consistently. I’ll be honest with you, I find it a constant challenge to remain consistent!

It isn’t sexy, there are no awards and most of the time it’s boring. But, because I understand the results consistency brings, I persevere.

As a parent, a coach, a martial artist I have seen exceptional outcomes from simply staying the course and doing the same simple things repeatedly.

I have seen growth in business, built and nurtured amazing relationships and taken myself on a personal development journey that continues to surprise me.

Consistency will help you with.

  • Achieving long-term goals

  • Building positive habits and routines

  • Improving productivity and efficiency

  • Increasing self-discipline and self-confidence

  • Maintaining focus and motivation

Whether you want to earn more money, connect with your partner or simply feel better about yourself, consistency will be the defining factor.

It’s easy to see how being consistent will make an impact. The question is, how do we create consistency?

Life is chaos. At every turn there is a major distraction, and sometimes it doesn’t matter how hard we work, it can seem impossible to break through the ceiling of success.

The key to is to keep it simple. Rather than instantly enslaving yourself to a rigid process, take one step at a time. Choose an area of your life you’d love to change, and start to apply some consistency.

If you’re unsure where to start, here are some of the ways you can easily create consistency in your life.

Set clear and measurable goals.

Whether you’re planning for a business or working out where you’d like to holiday, giving yourself a measurable goal will keep you on track. Most people have used SMART goals in work, doing the same for your own fitness or educational plan will let you know when you’re on track or when you need to make a change. Even better, make a goal that’s so important, you MUST achieve it.

Create a schedule or routine to follow.

It’s not possible to completely avoid the chaos life throws at us, but it is possible to create schedules, habits and routines. Of all the strategies I’ve employed over the years, consistently completing regular routines has had the biggest impact on my personal and professional health.

Hold yourself accountable for your progress.

Accountability is the glue that binds productivity to results. You can easily declare your intentions by writing them in your journal or putting your goals on social media. If you know someone that has a goal, become accountability partners, and get the result together. Believe me, you will stay consistent if you have someone watching your progress.

Track your progress and make adjustments as needed.

A simply way to ensure you are consistent is to make a note in your diary or on a calendar. The idea is to put a check mark next to every day you exercise or complete your priority task or practice your new skill. Keep the ticks going until you have a consistent string. The results will amaze you.

Practice self-care to maintain energy and focus.

It’s quite simple. Look after yourself. Eat well, hydrate, exercise, and rest. So many of us are so locked into work and family life that we drive ourselves to the limit. The very best self-care is to maintain your sleep routine. There’s a reason we spend up to a third of our lives snoozing. Your brain and body need restorative time. Without it, everything else will suffer, including your ability to stay consistent in your work, your relationships, and your personal development. Do what your mama said and go to bed!

One of my all-time favourite quotes is,

“You are what you repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” – Will Durant

Consistency creates excellence.

If you truly want to change your life for ever and get outstanding results in your work, your relationships, and your personal growth, don’t get the quick fixes.

Get consistent.
